A little bit about me!

Hi, I was born in Somerset, schooled and married in Berkshire and now live in Devon. I started playing the electronic organ at the age of ten in group lessons held at 'Modern Music' in Reading. I then had lessons from Joyce Houghton, who in fact later became my mother-in-law when I married Paul Snuggs in 1980!

The late 'Great' William Davies affectionately known as Bill, the popular BBC theatre and cinema organist, guided me further in my musical career and I since that time I have been taught by the acclaimed organ circuit star Janet Dowsett at her home in Berkshire. I even travel back occasionally to see her two years after moving to Devon - I think I'll never stop learning!

After receiving a certificate in Music Education from Trinity College London in 1993, I quickly went on to gain my LTCL Teacher's Diploma. Thinking back, I just don't know how I managed to simultaneously bring up our two young daughters, keep a check on my husband and walk our pet dog - Jazzy!

As a successful Electronic Organ and Keyboard teacher myself, I ran a large music school teaching all ages when based in Berkshire and I went into local schools to encourage the use of all forms of music and paricularly electronic keyboard in the National Curriculum for Music. I also held many pupil concerts - a great way to encourage folks!

As a player, I've performed for Organ Societies including Newbury, Reading and Maidenhead, presenting both modern and classical music for all tastes. As I become more established in the South West, I hope to continue to perform both here and further afield.
